New email list

June 22nd, 2013

Keep an eye on your email box as we have setup a new mailing list and it maybe sent to spam.

The address for the mailing list is :

cobh-triathlon-club-members  “at”  googlegroups.com

The reason we did this was because it takes over an hour for group email of 80 people to send, gmail thinks we are spamming people and it allows members to unsubscribe at anytime.

Monday Marlogue Runs-6.30pm

June 7th, 2013

It’s that time of year already : starting this Monday coming 10th June at 18.30 we will start running in Marlogue again for the summer.
Note it will be Monday evenings this year, be ready to run at 18.30.
For anybody who has done them before it will be the same mix of routes as usual.

For anybody new : we meet at the car park/picnic area at Marlogue woods and usually run for abt 1 hour. There is an option to shortcut it and do less if you want. The run goes through the woods, field, road, beach finishing up at the carpark again. The pace is generally slower than you run on the road to allow for the terrain and hills and you will work some different muscles which helps strengthen your legs.

It is suitable for all levels, we run in groups and bunch up during it so nobody gets left behind. It is a nice change from running on the road, and there is no looking at watches or mile splits ! For anyone who hasn’t been before I would say try it just once if you can make it some night.

If anyone needs any more info, directions, routes etc. let me know.

See you on Monday.
